O Foods – Building and Process Electrical/Instrumentation

In 2024, CEL successfully executed the electrical and instrumentation aspects of the Building, Process, Rail Loadout, and Bulk Shipping facilities for the O-Foods 250,000 metric tonne Oat Mill in Rosser, Manitoba. Despite facing a challenging timeline and procurement obstacles due to supply chain delays, our dedicated crews completed the project with remarkable efficiency. Furthermore, CEL provided invaluable support and maintained rigorous quality control measures throughout the electrical design process.

The scope of work included the installation of over 3000 cables, totaling approximately 114km in length, and 5km of basket tray across the Mill’s six floors. Mark Karr and Lucas Papp led the project from our Manitoba office, with contributions from teams across Manitoba, Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario. Their collective efforts were instrumental in meeting the client’s ambitious completion deadline.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all field leaders and on-site crews for their unwavering commitment to safety. Special recognition goes to our National and Provincial Safety Managers, Davide Careddu and Geoff Loutitt, whose guidance and support were invaluable throughout the project duration.
