CEL is nearing completion of the Building and Process Electrical/Instrumentation for the O-Foods 250,000 metric tonne Oat Mill Facility in Rosser, Manitoba. Our crews completed this project with a compressed schedule. In addition, we have been providing assistance and quality control for the overall electrical design while overcoming numerous procurement delays to maintain the completion schedule. We have installed more than 3000 cables totaling approximately 114km of cable and in 5km of basket tray across the 6 floors of the Mill. Commissioning of the Mill will begin in June while our construction team moves over to the Rail Loadout & Bulk Shipping building to begin installation on that phase of the project.
The project is being managed out of our Manitoba office headed up by Mark Karr and Lucas Papp. The rest of the team from our Manitoba, Alberta, BC, and Ontario offices and have been doing a great job of keeping with the client’s aggressive completion timeline.
A special thanks to all our field leaders and crews on site for their commitment to Safety and to our National and Provincial Safety Managers Davide Careddu and Geoff Loutitt for their assistance and guidance throughout this project.
