GrainCorp is a Canadian grain marketing company that is connecting Canadian growers to the global market, exporting to 30 countries. CEL has been the primary design-build contractor on the company’s four GrainsConnect elevator facilities in Alberta (Vegreville and Huxley) and Saskatchewan (Maymont and Reford). CEL is currently working on a GrainsConnect port facility in Surrey, BC.
On the strength of our ongoing work for G3’s growing network of inland grain terminals, CEL was awarded the contract to provide design-build electrical work and instrumentation for G3’s port facility in Hamilton. This included the installation of state-of-the-art automation systems and an advanced dust control system.
At the gateway to the Rocky Mountains, is the Graymont plant in Exshaw, Alberta. This facility produces a wide range of lime and limestone products. The company sought to move away from a largely manual process where employees had to physically place bags under the fill nozzle – and instead introduce a fully automated system.
